I’m Katie Goodrum

I hold a 1st Class BA (Hons) in Illustration Animation from Kingston University, which has provided me with a strong foundation in both traditional and digital illustration techniques, as well as helping me develop strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking.

I’m an illustrator and graphic designer based in Tokyo, Japan, with several years of experience at Japan Crate and Bokksu. Currently, I work as a full-time in-house graphic designer and illustrator at Bokksu, a monthly subscription box company, where I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with renowned brands like Sanrio.

In addition to my full-time position, I take on freelance design and illustration projects, creating meaningful and engaging visuals. My work is often influenced by a playful, whimsical aesthetic, adding charm and joy to everyday life.

I have a strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, and I am actively developing my skills in Figma and After Effects. My goal is to blend my graphic design and artistic abilities to produce unique, impactful visuals that resonate with audiences.

私はキングストン大学でイラストレーションアニメーションの1等学士号（Hons）を取得しており、伝統的な技法とデジタルイラストの両方に強い基盤を持っています。この経験を通じて、問題解決能力や創造的思考を身につけました。

私は現在、東京を拠点に活動するイラストレーター兼グラフィックデザイナーで、Japan CrateとBokksuでの数年の経験があります。現在は、月額サブスクリプションボックスサービス「Bokksu」でフルタイムのグラフィックデザイナー兼イラストレーターとして働いており、Sanrioなどの有名ブランドとのコラボレーションも経験しています。Japan Crateでの仕事を通じて、特にパッケージデザインや製品デザインのスキルを磨き、サブスクリプションボックス業界での貴重な経験を積んできました。

フルタイムの仕事に加えて、フリーランスとしてもデザインやイラストのプロジェクトを手掛け、意味のある魅力的なビジュアルを作成しています。私の作品は、遊び心のあるウィムジカルな美学に影響されることが多く、日常生活に魅力や喜びを加えることを大切にしています。

Adobe Illustrator、Photoshop、InDesignに熟練しており、現在はFigmaやAfter Effectsのスキルも積極的に磨いています。私の目標は、グラフィックデザインとアートを融合させ、独自でインパクトのあるビジュアルを生み出し、観客に共感を与えることです。
