The Oyasumi Quilt comes from a project about visually learning as well as embedding education into our everyday lives. The first line reads ‘brush your teeth’ accompanied by images of toothbrushes, toothpaste and teeth, then saying ‘wash your face’ with two hands, water, soap bubbles and a face in the middle, next is ‘put on pyjamas’ with images of pyjamas and finally ‘goodnight’. I didn’t use any English as the images help to translate the Japanese. The idea is that this quilt would be encorporated into a bedtime routine, to help teach the basics of Japanese in this context
